From Pope John Paul II's new letter on communications today:
"Everyone should know how to foster an attentive discernment and constant vigilance, developing a healthy critical capacity regarding the persuasive force of the communications media."
Could any blogger, any journalist, anyone who writes NOT consider this as a statement of vision?
By the way: since the Pope's reflections and guidance reach even the earth's remotest corners in very little time thanks to the Internet and the Church's own effective communications mechanisms, couldn't this man be considered the world's ultimate blogger? Good thing it's John Paul--wouldn't want anyone else to have that power!
